Las Vegas pedestrian killed in car crash

Car accidents are not just a concern for those who are in vehicles. Dangerous drivers can cause accidents that hurt people who are just crossing the street or standing on a sidewalk. If a Las Vegas pedestrian is killed in such an accident, that person’s relatives may have the right to pursue civil litigation. Taking such a step may result in compensation that can help to cover funeral expenses, medical costs and lost wages. In addition, these lawsuits may address the emotional losses incurred by an untimely and preventable death.

A 63-year-old resident of Las Vegas has died after being struck by a PT Cruiser. The man was crossing the street at the time of the collision. He was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma, where he was declared dead. Reports do not state whether the man was conscious at the scene or offered any statements to law enforcement prior to dying.

The cause of the man’s death is currently under investigation. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has released the name and age of the victim. Reports do not state when the medical examiners may announce their complete findings.

The driver of the PT Cruiser did not flee the scene. Reports do not indicate whether law enforcement authorities suspect that alcohol or speeding were factors in the crash.

Reports do not state whether the deceased’s family has initiated wrongful death civil litigation against the driver.

When a person is hurt or dies due to the negligence of another, it may be possible to file a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit. If you are interested in this, speaking with a lawyer may help you determine your next steps.
