Most accident-prone vehicle is the Subaru Crosstrek

According to an Insurify survey, the Subaru Crosstrek is the one vehicle in the U.S. that sees the most at-fault accidents. Nevada residents should know that Insurify, an auto insurance comparison site, has gathered statistics from more than 1.6 million insurance quotes and come up with a list of 10 of the most accident-prone vehicles.

It is somewhat ironic that the Subaru Crosstrek should top the list because the 2019 model has been given the highest possible safety rating by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. The survey said that 25.81% of accidents have involved Crosstreks, but the fortunate thing is that many of these accidents do not end in serious injuries. The Crosstrek is also affordable and fuel-efficient.

Second on the list was the Honda HR-V with 25.7% of these vehicles being involved in accidents. This was followed by the Hyundai Elantra GT, Infiniti Q50, Subaru WRX, Mazda3, Acura ILX and Lexus CT. Another Hyundai vehicle, the Santa Fe Sport, ended the list. In the number nine position was the Chevrolet Trax, the only American car on the list.

The second Subaru vehicle, the WRX, is known for having the highest proportion of speeding offenses. Insurify calculated that 13.64% of the 10 vehicles overall have been part of an accident.

When car accidents are clearly the result of negligence on one side, the other side may consider the extent of injuries and other losses, including lost wages and any diminished capacity to earn a living. In cases of severe crashes, one might have good grounds for a personal injury claim, but it can be hard to file such a claim without legal advice and guidance. With a lawyer, victims may be able to achieve a settlement out of court, and if not, they can litigate.
