Las Vegas hit-and-run accident leaves one man seriously injured

The ability to drive a car is taken for granted by many Las Vegas residents. Because it is so common for a person to get into his vehicle and drive somewhere, it is can be easy to take lightly the responsibility that comes with this privilege. Those who do not take this responsibility seriously enough to remain at the scene of a car accident they caused may face serious civil litigation suits.

One man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after he was the victim of a hit-and-run car accident. The incident occurred on February 6 in the parking lot of a Las Vegas gas station. The victim was hit by a gray Honda Accord as he was walking across the parking lot; the car drove very near to him once before running him over.

The incident was caught on video by surveillance cameras, and Las Vegas law enforcement authorities have released it online in an attempt to gain more information about the Accord’s driver. So far authorities have ascertained that the vehicle had California license plates, and they also know some details about the car and driver. Releasing surveillance footage to the public has proven fruitful in some investigations, and one Las Vegas officer stated that this move could provide useful information.

A victim who has suffered a personal injury as the result of the negligence of another person or company may wish to file a premises liability or personal injury suit. Those who wish to pursue civil litigation in order to obtain appropriate compensation for their injuries may wish to consult a lawyer.
