Victim of Las Vegas crash claims she struggled in aftermath

When Las Vegas car accidents make the news, focus is usually placed on people’s immediate injuries. While these are certainly causes for public concern, it is the long-term disabilities and rehabilitation treatments that often result in the greatest financial, physical and emotional struggles for those who were injured in these crashes. To recover from such losses, many victims seek compensation by pursuing civil litigation against negligent drivers.

Approximately one year ago, a woman was injured when a man drove his car into a Las Vegas restaurant. She reveals to the media that she and her family have had difficulties dealing with the aftermath of the crash. While she claims that these struggles were physical and emotional, reports do not indicate what type of injuries she sustained in the incident or whether she is still in treatment.

This victim is one of ten people who were hurt in the accident. The man who was driving the vehicle, a 19-year-old Las Vegas resident, had been under the influence of Xanax and marijuana at the time. The driver has announced his plan to plead guilty to the criminal charges he faces as a result of this incident. Media reports do not state whether any of the crash victims have initiated civil suits against the driver.

When innocent bystanders are injured through driver negligence, premises liability or other situations that lead to personal injury, they may have the right to pursue civil litigation. If you have been hurt or disabled because of the negligent actions of a person or company, you may want to speak with an attorney to discuss your case.
