Las Vegas woman killed in 9-vehicle crash

As a large U.S. city, Las Vegas has several major roadways crossing through or near it. These highways and interstates are a vital part of the local economy, as they allow for quick and efficient transportation. However, they can also be quite dangerous, as the sheer number of vehicles on these roads can quickly escalate one person’s driving error into a significant, multi-vehicle crash. When this occurs, the victims of these accidents may choose to pursue civil litigation.

A nine-vehicle crash in Las Vegas has left a 45-year-old female resident of the city dead. Few details were provided about the accident, which occurred on I-15 North.

Reports note that the deceased woman, a passenger in a vehicle that rolled over, was not found until hours after the accident. The cause of the delay and whether it may have contributed to the woman’s ultimate death were not addressed in reports.

Four other people were also injured in this crash. One was the driver of the car in which the deceased woman was riding; that person was in critical condition and sent to University Medical Center for treatment. The other three were also taken to that hospital, although authorities note that their injuries were not life-threatening. Reports do not indicate how many other people were involved in the crash.

Multi-vehicle crashes on heavily-trafficked roadways can have tragic consequences. If these incidents are found to be the result of someone’s negligence, the victims of the accidents may wish to initiate civil litigation. If you are facing a personal injury due to such a car accident, you may want to review your situation with an attorney to determine if you have a viable civil claim.
