Las Vegas crash leaves 1 teen dead

Teenagers often feel invincible, especially when they are behind the wheel of a car. This can sometimes become exacerbated within Las Vegas’ city limits, as it is a place known for its fun night life and exciting tourist attractions. When teenagers take this fun-loving attitude too far, a great deal of destruction can result.

A teenaged male was killed in an early morning two-car crash on Las Vegas’ Spanish Ridge Avenue. Reports do not state the exact age of the deceased or whether he was a city resident.

The accident occurred when the deceased’s vehicle, a Pontiac Firebird, drifted into a wall, rebounded and crashed into a Honda CRX. The vehicles had been travelling alongside one another, and law enforcement authorities believe the two drivers may have been street racing. Reports do not indicate whether authorities believe any other influences, such as alcohol or drug impairment, may also have factored into the incident.

The deceased was pronounced dead on arrival. Law enforcement officials have not yet located the driver of the Honda, who fled the scene. Reports do not offer details on authorities’ efforts to apprehend the Honda driver.

If you are currently struggling with financial and emotional losses caused by the death of a family member, you may want to consider filing a wrongful death lawsuit. This type of civil litigation can help those left behind after a tragic death, as it can hold those responsible for the incident financially liable. While this will not bring the deceased person back, it can offer closure for the family members left behind. Those who would like to learn more about this type of lawsuit may want to discuss their situations with an attorney.
