Suspected DUI crash in Las Vegas leaves 2 killed, 1 injured

Most Las Vegas parents take steps to ensure their children are protected at all times. Unfortunately, there are many situations in which children may suffer a personal injury despite attempts to keep them safe. Intoxicated drivers, for example, may easily cause a collision which causes a personal injury to a child. When such accidents occur, the parents of these children may wish to seek justice for their losses. In some cases, this may involve pursuing civil litigation.

Las Vegas law enforcement authorities have stated that a fatal collision involving a car and a bus may have been caused by a drunk driver. The car was discovered approximately one block from the crash, and the driver has been arrested and charged with felony DUI. Another suspect was also arrested, although reports do not provide details regarding that person's involvement in the collision.

The accident resulted in the death of a 6-year-old female child. The girl's 58-year-old grandmother also died. Both were pronounced dead after being transported to University Medical Center.

The crash also led to the injuries of several people, including a 3-year-old. The child is currently in stable condition, but the state of the other injured parties is not included in reports.

Reports do not indicate whether any wrongful death or personal injury lawsuits have been initiated as a result of the accident.

Car accidents caused by drunk drivers are always tragic, as they are entirely preventable. When a child dies as a result of such an accident, relatives of that child often wish to hold the DUI driver accountable. If you have lost a loved one due to the negligence of a drunk driver, you may have the right to seek a lawsuit. Speaking with an attorney may help you determine whether this is a path you would like to pursue.
