Although Las Vegas is known as a place where people can cut loose and enjoy themselves, it is also important to remember to do so in a responsible manner. Because of the amount of tourists that visit the city who may not be familiar with Nevada’s traffic laws and the fact that there are things going on around the clock, there can be real dangers on the road. Add to that the tendency for people to be a little more laid back, and even irresponsible with alcohol, and you have a deadly combination.
Authorities are investigating a five car accident that occurred recently on Rainbow Boulevard. They say that alcohol may have contributed to the collision that resulted in several people being taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
The incident began when a vehicle was sideswiped by a Dodge Ram truck. The truck went over the raised median after hitting another vehicle and slammed head-on into a limousine that was traveling in the opposite direction with 10 passengers inside. The collision caused the truck to flip over on its side and slide into the path of a car that hit the bottom of the truck. The truck’s driver was thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries that left him in critical condition at a local hospital.
Those involved in this crash would be well advised to speak with an attorney about civil litigation. They may be entitled to compensation for their pain and suffering, medical bills and the damages done to their vehicles.
