2 trapped under improperly secured construction wall

Accidents happen, there is no doubt about that; however, sometimes people are injured in Las Vegas as a result of the negligent actions of others. This generally leads to a painful recovery, expensive medical bills and lost wages. In order to seek the compensation needed to cover such damages, turning to an attorney to file a civil litigation lawsuit is often necessary.

A number of personal injury lawsuits may come about after alleged negligence and Mother Nature combined to blow down a construction wall that was said to have been improperly fastened to a building. As a result, two women were trapped underneath the debris that came from the wall that was described as being 15-feet tall and made of plywood. One witness close to the accident said that it sounded like an explosion when the wall crashed down.

The construction company allegedly responsible for the shoddy wall asserts that they are not to blame as they have been contracted to work on the inside of the building, not the outside. Nonetheless, a city official explained that the construction company has been ordered to stop all work and received violations relating to the accident.

Reports describe a hurried response to pull the trapped women out from under the wreckage. One witness believes that he saw around 25 people working together to lift the heavy wall. Apart from the women, two others were injured – a man and a firefighter who came to provide assistance. All were taken to the hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

If you’ve been injured in an accident through no fault of your own, you may benefit greatly from speaking with an attorney.
